An international confederation regulating and promoting karate worldwide from an educational, cultural and sporting point of view. The SKA joined the WKC in 2003 and has competed at its World Championships ever since — including the squad's first gold in Hanover in 2006.

A non-political organisation promoting the good practice, principles and ideals of traditional Shotokan karate through international competition, technical instruction, grading examinations and referee qualifications. SKA members contest the SKDUN European Championships.
